We received a very special package in the mail Saturday. Leah's Great Grandma sent the afghan that she crocheted for her. I imagined that it would be beautiful, but never dreamed just HOW beautiful it would be. We both love the color, which is sort of a neutral tan/goldish-brown. It's really amazing. And warm. We snuggled up with it the first evening we got it when it was so cold. We really love it and it has the sweetest meaning to us. Thank you Grandma for making this for Leah! And we covet your prayers for us as you hand-made this for her. We are so hapy to have one more thing to remember her by. We love you!
This special afghan came at a really special time for us. Leah's due date is just a couple days away, on Wednesday, Feb 17. We would appreciate your prayers for us this week especially. I have mixed emotions about this week. On one hand I am thankful that delivery day is behind us. Knowing how difficult the past couple of months have been, I would not want to start this journey all over again this week. But on the other hand, I am sad that delivery day is behind us. This is just one of the many milestones that we'll go through. Christmas was hard. Her due date will most likely be hard. Thank you in advance for praying for us this week. We appreciate it and know that God will continue to cover us with His grace as we move forward another step.
