Red Hot Applesauce Jello Recipe

Okay, so I just had to share my recipe for this after mentioning it in my last post.

As one of those kids who was raised on casseroles (yummy ones!) and some version of jello (lime jello with pears, cherry jello with mandarin oranges, etc), it was a real treat to have Red Hot Applesauce Jello!! This is the best version of jello ever! I'm not sure where my Mom got this recipe, but I know for a fact that my sister is serving it to her family on a regular basis & I make it as often as I can for us too! Okay, so here's the recipe you're all dying to try...

Red Hot Applesauce Jello:

1/2 c. Red hots
1. water
3 oz. package of Cherry Jello
2 c. applesauce

In a pan on the stove, dissolve Red Hots in water. Simmer. Add jello. Stir till dissolved. Don't boil. Remove from heat. Add applesauce. Mix well. Put in serving bowl. Refridgerate until set.
